             A great rod begins with a great blank, an ACR or Sage blank.  Before any work begins the blank is checked for straightness and the spine is located and marked.  All Anderson Custom Rods are built on spine, always!  A lifetime warranty on workmanship and materials is yours with rods built on Sage and ACR blanks.  There is a flat fee of $50 for any tip or mid-section, and $60 for any butt section repair, plus return shipping.

I select only the best Portuguese cork for the handle grip, then shape it to fit your hand and needs.  Ultra-fine, Full Wells, or our unique Saltwater Unigrip, what you want is just what you get.

Guides used on my rods are the best in the industry–either Hopkins & Holloway, Fuji, or my own custom guides from Batson.  Before wrapping, the feet are carefully hand ground to a fine taper to allow the thread wraps to merge from blank to guide perfectly.  This makes my ultra thin epoxy coating all the more striking.

With my original gold or silver wire trim in the thread wraps and the best selection of reel seats anywhere, an Anderson Custom Rod is just that–custom!

In addition to building high quality rods, I also handle the top makes of fly reels– Tibor, Able, Sage, Ross and Galvan.  In most cases if you want it, I’m able to get it for you.

To complement your custom rod and chosen reel, may we recommend a Rio fly line.  Rio is the industry leader in specialty fly lines.  If Rio doesn’t make it, you don’t need it, and if Anderson Custom Rods doesn’t have it in stock, we will get it for you–before your fishing trip!
